Hello, this is us, Tania and Romaine 👋🏽
If you would have told us 6 years ago as we just met at University that we would one day start a business together we would probably not have believed you. Yet, here we are! 💛 It feels kind of crazy how things have unfolded the last few months. We have been through so much and have learned so many things along the way...
It all started on a sunny Saturday. We were eating a salad by the lake and were sharing about our inner struggles: we both just graduated a few months before and were starting our professional career. Even though we were excited about this new chapter and conscious that it may take some time to get used to this new life, we felt lost and insecure. This is something that is apparently very common for fresh graduates because, for the first time in our lives, there was no "next step", no exam to pass, no semester to finish, no new research project. There was only this wide open timeline in which we would have to have a job and earn money (or at least that's how it felt).
We were craving a new project where the entirety of the responsibilities would be on our shoulders, where we could express ourselves creatively and where we could hopefully have a positive impact on the world. So we thought "why not give it a try? Let's go!"
Working on this brand has brought us closer, taught us so much and gave us a space for exploration and action. More than anything else, it has shown us that we can, in fact, take things into our own hands and we really hope that anyone feeling lost or confused right now feels inspired to take the leap towards their dreams and goals, it is so worth it.
Our first collection, called STATE OF BLISS, was all about celebrating Summer, life by the beach and post-surf’s sunset and the feeling of bliss, the small seemingly ordinary moments that touch the heart and soul! Since it was our first launch ever, we kept it simple with only three different styles: a classic, unisex t-shirt, a cozy hoodie and a practical tote bag.
As soon as we presented them to you, we got such an overwhelming amount of positive and warm feedback and we couldn’t believe how quickly the orders were coming in. We don’t have the words to express how much gratitude we have for each and anyone who supports us.
